3 Scalable Marketing Ideas

These days, building a scalable business is becoming even more important than building an ultra-large business. With the ideas of Tim Ferriss' 'Four Hour Workweek' spreading further and further, more and more people are looking to create a lifestyle that doesn't revolve around work and instead create an income that revolves around their lifestyle. With online entrepreneurship and marketing, this is a reality. However, the field of affiliate marketing can often be one that bogs marketers down in details and trivialities, and it can be difficult to escape from that mindset. Here are three great, easy to implement business ideas that can help affiliate marketers break free from their schedules and create a lifestyle that doesn't revolve around an 80 hours work week.

#1 - Promote products that people already need.

There are massive markets for products that people already need, basic necessities that are massively underrepresented on the internet. Once you've found a niche that isn't satisfied, it's as easy as setting up a product (or finding an affiliate product), creating a sales page, and undertaking some basic SEO and traffic building for your website. Mastering affiliate marketing really isn't as difficult as some make it seem, and with a high quality guide and the support of successful mentors it can be possible to climb to the top of the market with some smart work. Once you're there, it's simply a matter of maintaining your pages position, or hiring some other workers to maintain your page for you.

#2 - Create businesses with a lifestyle in mind

There are two types of businesses: those that exist to maximise profits, regardless of inputs, and those that exist to create a lifestyle, with inputs minimised to increase the entrepreneurs quality of life. Your goal when creating a lifestyle business should be to maximise your quality of life. This idea extends to affiliate marketing, and all other forms of internet marketing in fact. When you create a business with scalability built into its DNA, you create a business that will permanently give you the quality of life and amount of free time that you deserve. Don't become a slave to your work, make your work an easy to manage part of your life.

#3 - Find a system that works, and follow it.

This is a mainstay of internet marketing. With hundreds of 'money making systems' around, it can be difficult to know what is legitimate and what is bogus. The most important thing to do is experiment. You can't know what works unless you try things for yourself. Once you find something that gives you the quality of life you want along with the income that allows you to live the way you want, stick with it and optimise it until you can't any more. There's always time to create side businesses, should you want to, and spending your time on tasks that you don't need to be doing isn't something that any internet marketer should have to do.

Low Cost Marketing Tips For Home Business Owners

Worried about the high cost of advertising your home business? Here are a few ideas that will keep your home business high on customers and low on cost:

1. Make Business Cards Your Best Friend

Print business cards, making sure to include the home business URL on the cards. Carry a few home business cards with you wherever you go, because you never know who you might meet, or how they might benefit from your home business. Look at every social gathering as a potential opportunity to share your home business card with someone who might be interested. Additionally, look for other area businesses that are similar to your home business, and get permission to leave some of your home business cards there. If this is a potential problem, you might also consider doing a trade with another business, and putting their business cards in your home business office as well.

2. Don't Underestimate Flyers

Print up a sharp-looking, quality home business flyer, and look for area bulletin boards to post it (you may need to ask permission for this). Grocery stores, restaurants, laundromats, and other similar places may be willing to allow you to advertise your home business. Be certain that your home business flyer appeals to the needs and desires of your customers, and lets potential home business customers know why your home business is the best choice for them. Additionally, always remember to put your home business URL on the home business flyer.

3. Sponsor a Contest or Event

A great way to garner notice for your home business is to sponsor some type of contest or event. Your home business will only need to cover the cost of the prizes and the advertisements. Since everyone loves a contest, this can often be a great way to get the name of your home business out to the public. If your home business offers some type of service or product that is fitting for the occasion, you might also want to include that as a special addition to your other prizes. That way, your winners get to experience your service or product for free. If they are happy with your home business, they may give your name to others, or return for your products or services at some later date.

Promoting a home business is a lot of work, but if you think outside the box, there are many ways you can accomplish the marketing of your home business without spending a lot of money.

Short And Simple Marketing.

By now I am sure you have heard about the "KISS" principle (Keep It Short and Simple). The best approach in any business is to keep things simple. If you focus on the simple things that have worked for others, you will make a killing in just about any market.

Here are some simple things you can do to be successful in a home based business.

You need to capture the names and emails of your website visitors and email them continuously. Any person who knows anything about marketing online knows that the money is in the list. I bet you've heard that a million times. That is because it works!

Yet, if you look around at many sites in different markets you will see that there are many people who still do not have an email signup form on their sites. If they do have a signup form, they usually have the form tucked away in some little corner where no one sees it.

If you do a search for the major keywords in your market and you find that many of the websites do not have opted in forms then you know that your competitors have poor marketing skills. Having an email form is one of the most basic and effective marketing techniques ever.

The second step is to learn about your target market. That's because you need to know what buttons to push when it comes to writing sales copy. It does not take much to get your prospects interest and attention. You don't have to know the deepest psychological tricks to get visitors to buy. In fact, if you are part of an affiliate program, the affiliate's sales page will have some of the things that your target market is interested in and they will gear their ad copy towards the concerns and interests of the prospect.

The third step is to pump money back into your business. That is a fundamental factor for success in any business. When you're selling something on a website and you have measured conversion levels, those numbers will remain the same no matter if you have 100 visitors or 1,000 visitors a day. Let's say you have a conversion rate of 5%. For every 100 people who visit your site, five of them become customers. Now you need to take the money from those five sales and drive more people to your site. Now you have 1,000 visitors and you get 50 sales. Take a portion of that and reinvest in your business. Know your numbers and keep tossing money to fuel the fire.

There are tons of niches online that are begging for you to step in and dominate. Simply find the markets where people obviously have little marketing skills and take over the market. You can even offer to buy out another business and pick up where they left off.

In a home based online business, marketing is the name of the game! So keep it simple and make yourself a ton of money with excellent marketing.
